The jar of crab paste caught my attention right away at HMart, and I HAD TO bring it home. 6 months later, the jar is still sealed.. I also bought a box of soft / silken tofu by mistake. Accidentally coming across the quick and simple recipe of the Crab Paste Tofu, I finally laid my fingers on the tofu and the crab paste!

- 1 big tbsp of crab paste
- 1 box of tofu (preferably soft or silken tofu)
- imitation crabs
- other veggies such as peas, carrot chunks as needed
- 1-2tsp fish sauce
- 1-2 scallions finely chopped
STEP 1: Over low-medium heat, add in 1 big tbsp of crab paste; no oil is needed as the crab paste is oily
STEP 2: Cut open the box of tofu, use knife to slice through tofu, then add all tofu into the pan with crab paste, along with imitation crabs; add in 1-2tsp fish sauce to increase the saltiness, umami and flavor.
STEP 3: Add around 1/2 to 1 cup of water and other veggies to pan, continue to cook over low heat
STEP 4: As sauce dries out, sprinkle on scallions and cook for another 30secs
